adidas Wicker Park – Crystal Zapata
A creative collaboration with adidas Originals and Chicago-based artist Crystal Zapata, centered around a limited-run newsprint city guide and editorial celebrating local culture.

We worked with Crystal to develop a studio-based editorial that spotlighted her artistic process, workspace, and creative relationship with adidas Originals.
Shot by local photographer @alexavisciusphoto — a longtime collaborator of Crystal’s — the portraits offered an intimate look at her world, grounded in the Wicker Park creative community.

City Guide
We worked closely with Crystal to bring her vision for the printed city guide to life — handling full layout and design.
The guide spotlighted five of her favorite local businesses and featured her distinctive analog-inspired graphics throughout. It was available both in-store and at participating neighborhood locations.

Crystal designed an exclusive long-sleeve tee for the store — featuring bold type, hand-painted accents, and playful overlays. A true Chicago T-Shirt!
Community Event
To celebrate the launch, we hosted an in-store event with food, drinks, music, and product customization. Guests walked away with the full print set — including the guide, coupon book, and long sleeve — while connecting with Crystal and the broader Chicago creative community.
